These pictures and objects are examples of the different ways in which the Peterloo Massacre was remembered. The items set the Peterloo Handkerchief in the context of the memorabilia that were widely produced after the event .They also allow a comparison of the different ways in which the massacre was depicted for a mass audience in an era before photography and film.
